Russia-Ukraine live: Emergency workers killed de-mining Henderson
âSituation remains critical for electricityâ: AJE Correspondent
Al Jazeeraâs Charles Stratford reporting from Kyiv said that Ukrainian authorities and military have been pressured âin recent weeks in protecting vital infrastructure from Russian launched kamikaze and cruise missile attacks â around 1,000 of them in the last 2.5 months.
âWe know that there are still millions of people who have no electricity, that are having to endure rolling blackouts, and have poor â if any heating at all â as these winter temperatures continue to drop,â Stratford said.
âThere have been a couple of lines from Ukrainian authorities within the last 12 hours or so, saying that the situation remains critical for electricity â thatâs just in Kyiv â and significant across the country as all efforts focus on trying to get as much of this infrastructure back up and running.â
